CLASS A LOCAL TRUCK DRIVER
A&G Express is a local trucking company in the Indianapolis, IN. We are a leader in the recycling industries. We deliver sheet iron and cast aluminum from OmniSource to be recycled. REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a class a CDL for 3 years
No accidents/tickets within 3 years.
Have a current dot physical
Must be able to pass a dot drug test.
Must be able to read/write and able to text and answer cell phone
Must be able to use GPS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Class A CDL High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Class A CDL
Proven work experience as a Truck Driver
Pass road test
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc)
OTHER:
Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
Ability to provide past 10 years of employment
Able to pass random drug screens
No moving or driving violations in past 3 years. No accidents in the past 3 years
Listening and verbal communication skills

CDL Local Truck driver that safely and efficiently operates a commercial tractor-trailer vehicle and the reliable delivery of our customers' products. Our drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Transport goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues. Complete driver's vehicle inspection report and turn it in daily.
Notify dispatch immediately of any mechanical issues and wait for instruction.
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
Document and log arrival and waiting time on TBills.
Turn in Fuel truck when needed and retain fuel receipts and turn in daily.
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designation, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions.
Collect and verify delivery instructions.
Report defects, accidents, or violations.
Minor Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete Tbill paperwork and turn it in daily.
Fuel truck when at 1/4 tank or at end of the workweek. Turn in fuel receipts.
Make sure the fuel card is in a safe and secure place at all times.
Check truck toolbox weekly and report if need updated supplies.
Take the trash out of the truck daily.
Sweep truck, wipe dash and mirrors weekly.
